How do handheld inkjet printers work?

It prints by heating up a very specific area that the ink sits on top of. This heat is hot enough to shoot the ink from the printer head onto the substrate a very short distance away. So there’s no moving parts like a traditional printer, just a sort of heating matrix that shoots tiny ink pellets.
